Graduate profile

The plan proposed for the TSU educational program in Technology of Materials of the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences of the University of Guanajuato plans as a curricular competence, to contribute in addressing the needs of the regional, national and international industries.

The graduates of this program will have a comprehensive formation to interact in multidisciplinary ambiences so they can achieve an impact in the society and industry through innovation and be capable of establishing positive attitudes regarding sustainability and environment care.

The Senior University Technicians in Technology of Materials are professionals with Knowledge in chemistry, science and technology of materials that can perform in the fields of Polymeric Materials, Inorganic, Ceramic & Metallic materials, glass & paper. Has Skills on how to use instrumental equipment for the characterization of materials, analysis of their chemical composition, its physical-chemical and mechanical properties, quality control of raw materials, structure-property analysis of materials, individual work and in their field and capable of interdisciplinary collaboration.

Possesses professional attitudes that strengthen their skills which should be responsibility, respect, commitment, creativity, collaboration and punctuality. Possesses values such as honesty, tolerance, respect for the diversity of opinions and truth.

Study plan

The study plan for the program of Senior University Technician in Technology of Materials is comprised by 25 learning units, from which 23 are mandatory and belong to common basic areas, basic disciplinary, deepening, and two options corresponding to the complementary area.
